Ghost and Morin, our future top pairing?
Pieces are in place for the future. We still need a top pairing defenseman and a scoring winger. Doesn't look like we are going to get anything from Free Agency or a trade due to our cap limitations. Development years ahead.

Or would Provorov be the guy ahead of both.

        Provorov - Sanheim
        Morin - Gostisbehere

I salivate over that top four.

Assuming Del Zotto is not resigned and we're stuck with MacDonald, I'm still not opposed to signing Streit to a 1 year deal as the 7th dman / mentor and waiving Manning to send him back to the AHL...

                Provorov Macdonald
                Gudas Hagg/Sanheim
                Ghost Morin
                Streit

Manning is the main call up for a short term need for another dman, odd man out of hagg/sanheim main call up if there are several longer term injuries.
That innocent plan would fire back because of our questionable head coach.
Hakstol would not healthy scratch Streit. He would play him 18min a game and use him on both special teams, a perfect copy of this season's usage.

Morrin sent down to LV to play last night, which was his 5th game in 6 nights. Wow.

Morin and McDonald were sent back to Lehigh Valley so they could play against Hershey last night.

Sam had an assist and was +1 in the OT loss. Colin had a goal.

The Phantoms play Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tomorrow night.

For the first time in awhile, our AHL guys are playing meaningful games in the Spring, which has to be a good thing for their development.
                    What would Fred do?
