  • GDT: Flyers @ Golden Knights

    8:00 PM EST

    That's a new one.

Since it's Vegas, we'll point out that you need to bet over $200 on the home team to get a return of $100 on a win. The over-under is 6. So they appear to be predicting either a 4-2 or 5-1 win by the favorite?

The GN are well rested, and the Flyers are playing after an OT game last night, plus travel, plus it's the third in four. Being busy hasn't been a problem for the O&B this year though.

Prepared to drink when Bellemare scores.

Hoping all the running around in the last two games was just a ploy to throw off Vegas' scouting.

The Over Under on vegas games is almost always 6 because of how high scoring they've been combined with dodgy goaltending. A lot of matchups over unders will be set at 5.5 for hockey, but they want 6 to be a push and not a win with vegas games.

Sounds and looks like a home game after that goal.

Call me Dogstradamus: "Both of these trends need to get better. Solution: Win against both the Coyotes and Vegas."

        Done!

A-game Neuvirth showed up. Flyers weren't perfect, but they didn't have to be.

Random thoughts from the game. Vegas icing = Knights' Errant passes? Weal circling with the puck = Wagon Weal?

That might just have been the beer talking. Had a crazy weekend, spending nearly 20 hours on the clock between 1PM Saturday and 4PM today, completing a work project that has been in planning for over a year. Managed to enjoy both games though.

Was at both games. Coyotes arena was "there's a hockey game - that's nice". Lots of Flyers fans but maybe 50 % full. Vegas was ELECTRIC. Don't know if came across on the broadcast but there were many VERY LOUD Let's go FLYERS chants. and more than a few E-A-G-L-E-S also.

Oh, it came through. Chris Therien even made the comment that half the crowd was Flyers fans during the broadcast. I definitely heard the Eagles chant as well. Philly fans travel well, we know that!

The atmosphere definitely came through. Sounded like a great one to be at.

Was at both games too. Personally, I loved the atmosphere around the Phoenix arena. Vegas' arena I found to be pretty disappointing. It was nice, mainly because it's new. But the concourse was really bare and frankly confusing. Obviously the crowd was great, and definitely a lot of Flyers fans (can't stand the Eagles chant at hockey games though).

Had a great time at both games... Arenas #12 and #13 off my list!

If it was like March after a 7-9 season I'd be with you, but you gotta cut us some slack on this one, right? It had barely been a week.
