  • JVR Out 5-6 Weeks

More great luck for the Flyers. We can't have nice things! This sucks, but hopefully the rest of the team can get it done without him.

Just typical. Well, he should be rested for the late season.

I should just stop taking Flyers for my pool. Really.
Pieces are in place for the future. We still need a top pairing defenseman and a scoring winger. Doesn't look like we are going to get anything from Free Agency or a trade due to our cap limitations. Development years ahead.

I've heard that they're going to put Weal in JVR's spot. Id rather see Carson Twarynski called up to fill that hole. I like his skating ability, physicality and moxie. We've seen what Weal can do which isn't overwhelming.

You know they won't tell us anything other than "lower body injury." If it's this long, then yes, I'd say it was a break. The timeline is about right for that in an aggressive rehab environment. It wasn't during motion so not likely anything was torn. The math says broken bone of some sort.
