The Memorial Cup starts May 16th. The winner of the Gatineau/Rouyn-Nouranda series will play that day against the Kitchener Rangers. With a window of only a few days at best between the end of QJMHL series and the start of the Memorial Cup, there would be no way for a player on a winning team to join up with an NHL club. The only way this makes sense is if Gatineau loses.
I think that is what he means....if gatineau loses...

    • Cool, thanks for the info. I doubt he will be up for the Flyers PO. His team is playing to well, even if the Flyers made it further or the series lasted long.

      • Gatineau lost to Rouyn-Nouranda 2-6 on Saturday. Hopefully they can bounce back.

An understatement to say the least as Gatineau beats Rouyn-Nouranda 10-4.

Giroux with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Jesus, 10-4... and Giroux only had 4 points .

This team might have a shot at the memorial cup.

Weak. If he was a real 3 point/game player, he'd have 51 by now. He's only a 2.7 point/game player as it stands.

Considering his current pace he should break the record. He has at least 5 games left, at a 2.7pt pace it will take him to 59.5. It's pretty likely that he plays more than 5 more games so there's a good chance of this.

                    I'm Wrong!!! Nevermind!!!

That's if the stats include the memorial cup as the playoffs right? I'm not sure if they do or don't.
