Rich Schewman of Douglassville, a Philadelphia suburb, said he has traveled to many American Hockey League cities to watch the Phantoms play on the road.

“We’ve never been to Manitoba,” he said, after rattling off a long list of arenas he’s been to.

This season he’ll be making road trips to see the Phantoms play at home.

Schewman and his daughter, Katherine, were at the Phantoms’ Select-a-Seat day at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Saturday to check out their home-away-from-home arena.

Schewman said the family will drive from the Philadelphia suburb for most weekend home games during the team’s inaugural season in Glens Falls.

As it happens, this fan is the person who was featured as the Phantoms' 4 Millionth Fan a few years ago. It's appropriate that the Post-Star should happen to single him and his family out.
