  • Phantoms recall Teslak/Jones likely gone

Two stories developing late Wednesday afternoon out of Phantom-land.

First, it appears that Randy Jones has played his last game for a while. According to several reports in the Philadelphia media, Jones was placed on re-entry waivers to the NHL. The speculation is that with Simon Gagne on the injured list for the long-term, the Flyers can afford Jones’ nearly $3 million salary under the salary cap. Another NHL team can claim Jones for half price. Either way, it’s unlikely he’s coming back to the Phantoms. Jones was minus 3 and had one assist in six games.

Secondly, the Phantoms have called up Michael-Lee Teslak. Teslak, 23, is 3-0-0 record with a*3.24 goals-against average and a 0.882 save percentage to help lead the Jackals to a* 5-0 start.

More on these stories as they develop.
